Coincheck and Fanpla sign agreement for IEO

Fanpla Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takemitsu Hirai; hereinafter, "our company"), which is involved in entertainment businesses such as organizing live events for music artists and operating fan sites,We are pleased to announce that in cooperation with Fanplus Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hajime Sato; hereinafter referred to as "Fanplus"), which operates fan sites for music artists, we have launched a project aimed at forming a web3 economic sphere where artists and fans can connect and co-create. In preparation for an IEO (Initial Exchange Offering; hereinafter referred to as "IEO") with our company as the issuer, we have signed a contract to act as a consignment sales agent with Coincheck, Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Satoshi Hasuo; hereinafter referred to as "Coincheck").

IEO is a mechanism for the sale of new crypto assets, with cryptocurrency exchanges taking the lead in screening applications in accordance with Japanese laws and regulations. Five IEOs have been conducted in Japan so far, and Coincheck has conducted two, including the first IEO in Japan, on its IEO platform, Coincheck IEO.

This IEO will be conducted in collaboration with Fanplus, a wholly owned subsidiary of MUP Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koichiro Bito; hereinafter, MUP Holdings), a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime. Fanplus will be in charge of issuing and selling new crypto assets.We will act as the issuer and aim to issue tokens that will be circulated among the more than 300 fan clubs and fan sites operated by Fanplus and the more than 2.5 million paid members. In addition, Emoote Pte. Ltd. (CEO: Yuji Kumagai, co-founder and researcher: comugi), which continues to lead the creation of web3 businesses globally through fund management specializing in the web3 field, will participate in our team as a partner.

This IEO is part of a project promoted by Fanplus and our company that aims to create a "Direct to Fan (D2F)" economic sphere that directly connects artists and fans. We aim to provide a new place for "oshikatsu" where both content creators and fans can participate, and to create an economic sphere using web3 digital technology. In the future, we will plan and develop various services and experiences in collaboration with popular artists.

Through this IEO, Coincheck, MUP Holdings, Fanplus and our company will connect artists and fans to the web3 sphere, creating new fan experiences while working towards fair returns to artists and enhancing a sustainable creative environment.
